DICOM TOOLKIT MEDXPRESS IS RELEASED BY PEGASUS IMAGING CORPORATION |
| TAMPA, FL, November 22, 2002 - Pegasus Imaging Corporation, the leader in medical image compression technology, announces the release of MedXpress™, a medical imaging DICOM toolkit that allows application developers to read and write DICOM files. This product supports any medical imaging technology vendor requiring DICOM. MedXpress supports grayscale and color lossless JPEG, lossy JPEG and JPEG 2000 image files and allows users to insert any DICOM baseline format data into a DICOM file. It also allows developers to incorporate image capture, viewing, editing, printing, annotation, conversion and TWAIN scanning functions into applications. Virtually every medical profession that utilizes images within the healthcare industry uses DICOM. "Pegasus Imaging already leads the industry in medical image compression technology," says Will Clonts, medical business development manager at Pegasus Imaging. "The release of MedXpress positions us to reach DICOM developers skilled in Visual development environments, including VB.NET." MedXpress can be used as a .NET managed control, COM or VCL component. Visit the Pegasus Imaging website at www.pegasusimaging.com/medxpress.htm for a complete product description or e-mail medical@jpg.com for more information. |
