CAPTUREPRO V3 FOR IMAGE AND VIDEO ACQUISITION RELEASED BY PEGASUS IMAGING CORPORATION |
| TAMPA, FL, January 20, 2003 - Pegasus Imaging Corporation, the leader in digital imaging technology, today announces the latest release of CapturePRO, the powerful software development component that performs image and video acquisition from video capture devices such as web cams and digital cameras. Version 3 of CapturePRO significantly increases the number of devices developers can interface to when building video capture and editing applications. It will now interface to any device that supports USB, FireWire, WDM, or native DirectShow including digital video and legacy Video For Windows. CapturePRO is offered as a managed control for .NET or as a COM control and VCL for other Win32 development environments. It offers image capture directly into an application instead of resorting to third-party applications and loading files from disk, the ability to save and retrieve current settings with a single call, complete control over image capture, compress and save options, both still image and video stream acquisition under program control, and more. "This new release of CapturePRO has been updated to interface with just about every capture device used today," says Janet Jordan, product manager at Pegasus Imaging Corporation. "In addition, since we are offering it as a standalone component for $299, the value to developers is increased because they don't have to make a large purchase unless they require imaging features besides those included within CapturePRO." Visit the Pegasus Imaging website at www.pegasusimaging.com for a complete product description of CapturePRO or e-mail sales@jpg.com for more information. |
