Barcode Xpress™ and OCR Xpress™ Released as Workflow Activities for Windows® Workflow & |
| TAMPA, FL, May 22, 2008 - Pegasus Imaging Corporation, the leader in digital imaging technology, today announces Barcode Xpress v5 and OCR Xpress v1 are now available as Activity Libraries for Windows Workflow Foundation (WF) and Microsoft® Office® SharePoint® Server (MOSS). Software developers can easily add Windows Workflow Activities for barcode reading, barcode writing, full-page OCR, and auto rotate to Workflow (WF) applications. They can also be added to SharePoint workflows. Pegasus Imaging technologies are available as fully-integrated WF activities for use within Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2008. Pegasus Imaging’s WF Activity Libraries enable exciting opportunities to develop new applications. One example use of the activities is a WF application or a SharePoint workflow that reads barcodes from separator pages between scanned documents, cleans the images, performs OCR, and produces a multi-page PDF with the name of the file based on the barcode contents. When integrated into SharePoint, this workflow could be executed when an image is added to a SharePoint document library. Barcode Xpress barcode technology, ScanFix image cleanup technology, and image load and save found in ImagXpress, are included in the Barcode Xpress Workflow Activities download. OCR Xpress full-page OCR, auto rotate, plus image load and save from ImagXpress, are included in the OCR Xpress Workflow Activities download.
